Since purchasing my Akai MPK Mini 3 last year, I've only scratched the surface of the performance possibilities it opens up for me. So, I decided this morning to try to explore some of those posibilities. This is the result. Everything in this track is driven by the MPK, which I set to control both an FSM Infector & a Cyan Phase VibraSynth (both Native Buzz Machines) - which were both routed into a Mobius Looper in order to record live-loops to improvise over. The experiment worked out alright, I don't mind the result. But it seems that Mobius needs some tweaking when it comes to changing tracks. I'm going to have to play around with that a little bit…

I got the title from an online Song Name Generator (non-AI) & it inspired the music. I marked this NSFW because of the above picture. Not inappropriate, but perhaps not what you want on your screen at work when your boss walks by…

You're definitely really good at creating stuff that sounds like it's from another world. You must have a built-in antenna, or something like that, that allows you to connect with other civilizations and render their acoustics.

Clarity in satin sounds like a great gothic rock band song. This music though, feels like wading through an ocean of satin sheets as they billow and shift around. Somehow it has that combination of smoothness and something in the way. Gently obstructed.

Whaaa, a Candle track with no guitar?! Yet it still carries your signature vibe... The drawn-out drone under the staccato melody is an interesting texture. I'm picturing a little animal or insect of some kind scurrying around on a vast, desolate landscape. The crunchy bit around 3:45 is a neat little shift.
