Liner Notes

Finally got one on the board! I've been busy. Took too long on this mess of a recording. But it's done, I will now proceed to churn out some simpler, but hopefully tasty concoctions. Here's a bit of a gambling metaphorical lyric. This one is supposed to be a bit of a rant, a "look what you've done" message to, well, anyone that applies.

Lyrics

CASINO DECLINE

Oh the stakes were high
And the chips were down
I don’t think I have seen
Such a brutal round

You know those high rollers
Now they’re in control
They got no scruples
And they got no soul
You took a gamble
Picked a wild card
And now you’re gonna pay
Prepare to fall hard

You thought it would be best
To give the game a reboot
But you knew damn well
It was a crap shoot

You were so convinced
I guess you really believed
Are you starting to find
How you were so deceived?

Dealt out a joker
And a crooked king
A court full of lackeys
Kissing the golden ring

I don’t really really know
How it’s all gonna end
And I’m not too sure
We can still be friends

Cause the deck is loaded
Everything’s been rigged
The dealers are corrupt
It’s a house of pigs

Yes the stakes were high
You laid your bet down
Now sit back and watch
The chips hit the ground

I love that this gives a view point without being preachy or overtly hammer against the nail. That's a cool guitar riff/hook, too.

Wow. I like this, it has a bit of an R. Zimmerman feel with the vocal phrasing.
The Lyric although loaded with a lot of gambling terminology does incorporate a political slant/slam as well.
