I Believe in You

Liner Notes
Playing around with my daughter's Loog guitar and this little thing came out. Had the chorus in my head. Improvised the verses. Excited to take another pass at it in March

I guess because you mentioned your daughter’s guitar this became a song from a parent to a mostly grown up child. I like the way you first lay out all the things they might do or not do, and then come in with this message of acceptance. It feels like a very real way to lay out unconditional love. And I was interested in the parts about going back and forth kind of forever. It feels like the kind of song that could coalesce after you hear yourself tell your kid “you just have to decide” and realize that’s not really true. Great sound too.

Cool sound - never heard of that brand before. Nothing I improvise sounds that good - well done! Nice fast paced percussive strumming, and I really like the vocal melody and vocals. Wonderful song of encouragement. Also nice dissonance in those chords.
