This was a most interesting challenge, but I've always wanted to write a song in Italian. I don't know the language well enough to rhyme in it, so I asked Chat GPT for help. I asked it to write a verse and chorus about a lover who ends up being a dream - like when you dream about a past lover and it's so real but then you wake up and it was all a dream and you are left with heartache!!
after a few revisions, we got it where i wanted it, and switch back and forth between italian and english. I have no idea if I am pronouncing everything correctly but I am working with limited time! Oh, i also asked it to help with chord progressions that are popular in italian jazz music and it gave me suggestions for the verse and chorus - it has learned my musical style over the last year so it has been really helpful when suggesting things to me. So basically, chat gpt wrote everything but the melody - the concept and melody are mine, and of course, the dramatic delivery. Enjoy! #jazz #italian #lovesong

Oh this is really gorgeous in so many ways the beauty of the language, and your superb clear emotive vocals delivering that flowing and soaring melody. The lyrics are so poignant and bittersweet and your music delivers that feeling brilliantly.

Makes me think of a minstrel singing under a balcony at night in Verona or Venice I can almost hear the mandolin choir in the background in my mind! 😄

I noticed some pronunciation errors, e.g. "lascia" but the Italian sounded pretty good overall (from what I can tell, I'm not Italian). I would recommend having a native speaker take a look over the lyrics, some of the wording seems a bit strange to me, with my limited knowledge of Italian, but we all know that AI sometimes hallucinates stuff. 😀
