The root of a tree
kicked by the boot of a three
legged man who can't find the
pair of shoes to fit all three feet
so he wears a pair on two
and a boot on the third
and as the man with two shoes
and one boot
walks down the street
he runs into his neighbor
a man made of hamburger meat
and his wife, a bottle of ketchup
and the three walk together to the
luncheonette to meet up
with the man made of hot dog meat
and his wife, a jar of mustard
and they drink coffee
(except for the wife, the jar of mustard,
who drinks herbal tea)
