Liner Notes

Another loop song. I have a very basic pedal so it's the same thing over and over and I realize I tend to want to sing in some sort of bluesy b minor. Added a little vibraphone last minute, here goes!

Lyrics

Bits and Pieces
By Rachel Eve Feb 21 2025

(Bits and pieces, bits and pieces,
Bits and pieces on the floor)

I worked all day
I worked all night
Sweat on my brow
To get it right

All of the hours
That it took
To make you something special
Something that I thought was good

But you never saw it
No never even gave it a chance
No you just left it in
Bits and pieces on the floor

Crash it came down
With a great force
Shards all around
Beauty no more

All of my love
Sent to waste
And Iā€™m not sure how you can face yourself

when you ever saw it
No never even gave it a chance
No you just left it in
Bits and pieces on the floor

I dig the background loop you built. But what I really dig, is how you sang that nice bluesy vocal melody over it! Great take on the prompt and a very enjoyable listen! Cheers!

Great use of the loops. I love the bbbb as though even the bits are in bits.

Ooh I love how you've used the loops here, sounds really original and exciting to listen to. Especially like the harmonised vocals, but kudos too for each building block you add. And that's before I even get to the lyrics... what a cracking write this is šŸ˜ƒ

You have done a phenomenal job with the loops - really effective bits. I love the sandpaper blocks, the marimba, and the background loops with your gorgeous vocals delivering the well crafted pointed lyrics. Cool jazzy feel and nice juxtaposition of joyful music with the lyric.

Really interesting cross between blues and something else that I can't quite put my finger on (or it could be old ladies dull brain syndrome lol). Love it :)

Nice lament, and a scary moment. Really impressive sound for an impromptu flow.

Very inventive to have the 'bits and pieces' playing on loop in the background - very effective! And I love the bluesy nature of the song. Sounds really good
