Liner Notes

This track started as an attempt at another house song, but somewhere along the way, it took a turn into something completely different. I built it from the beat up, but the sounds didn’t lend themselves to house music. So I followed where the track wanted to go.

I’ve been rewatching The Beatles Anthology, and some of that early energy seeped in.

Lyrically, I started with the idea of blame and shame. I wasn’t sure who the subject was at first, but as I kept writing, it hit me: what if I’m talking about myself? That realization shaped the rest of the song.
