Liner Notes

This is my response to this years "Fake it Challenge". I didn't realise this was a thing until I heard @kosch's version of the song 'No Guarantees' and fancied giving it a go.

If you've not heard of this challenge either, It's where you get the words and the chords to a song, but the tune is completely up to you. I've gone for an upbeat blend of country/folk/Indie with a touch of hillbilly.

The recording is super rushed as we're obviously near the end of this years FAWM, so all the parts are pretty much first takes. I think it captures the basic idea though, and I'm happy I managed to squeeze one last new challenge in this year!

Well, it's not actually an old song. It's a song I wrote to sound like an old song. LOL. I like the take you have here of it! Great imagination in the melodic line, and fun instrumentation.
