This started out for the #F-Am challenge but I couldn't resist adding a weak chorus so mentioned only to show inspiration.

Lyrics

Signs of Life 2 Day 2, taken in Norwich

I can hear the beat of your sneakered feet
Wetly beating down the street, as you
Come round the corner, dressed to the nines
From your head to your feet, oh you're looking fine
So zaftig, but what is this? Your
Booties do not pass the test, they're
Broken and they look a mess and
Without them, you have nothing left

You have got sad sneakers
Better train those trainers
Or you'll fail the inspection of
All these hate campaigners

well, here at the bus stop. you can hear a pin drop as
Waiting mob judges your high-tops, you
Should be able to ride on the bus without
Any fuss from any of us. Only
Assholes high on methanol and
Neanderthals would dare judge your plimsolls,
You got bromodosis, hardly psychosis or worthy of
crisis but

You have got sad sneakers
Better train those trainers
Or you'll fail the inspection of
All these hate campaigners

All you finks just embrace the stink
And take the time to have a think about
what it is that pushes you to the brink
And why...

Sad trainers? How awful.
I wonder what the original scrawl was in reference to?
I love all the squelchy noises in this and the way they sound like the feelign of walking in very wet shoes...

I love everything about the arrangement. It makes me want to think outside of my usual guitar/bass/drum box.

Sneacky sneackers ! I've got these too.
I love the way the rythm of the song limps as if it had bad shoes scrubing wetly on the pavement.
Was not sure on how to understand "trainer" : "entraƮneur" means "coach" in french, and "entraƮneuse"... "companion". I did make some wild assumptions on what the graffiti could mean.

Great prompt for a song, and nicely executed. Digging that OTT autotune, fits with the subject matter. Another fine offering Paul

Very impressive to find a song unironically using the word "zaftig".

This is really trippy. I'm particularly impressed by the ploddy bass throughout.

Messy, trippy goodness soaked in its own sauciness. Splendid, Johnny, splendid.

This is so well done. I'm getting a bit of Pet Shop Boys in the verses. I love how the rhymes are working, coming at me at unexpected times and in ways that really work. Nice job!
