Sing My Song

Challenge: PALINDROME

Liner Notes

This is more "Palindrome Inspired" I was thinking about Palindromic words and names. Then phrases like "in and out", "up and down" "over and over" started taking the forefront of my mind. So I just went with that.

Lyrics

Sing My Song

Heartbeats race when I chase my dreams, Some days shine, some don't seam.
to know that I was always meant to climb, So I dance with the lows, let the highs sing my rhyme.
Whoa-oh-oh, here I go, Whoa-oh-oh, here I go,

I wake up, feelin’ like I own the sky, I step outside, watch the world go by.
Today might be the day I fall, But I keep movin’, I'll risk it all.
Whoa-oh-oh, here I go, Whoa-oh-oh, here I go,

Chorus
Up and down, round and round, Coming back home to touch the ground.
Forward now, sing my song, Sing it loud and sing it strong.
Sing it loud and strong.

My wheels are spinning and the sun is rising Time to go I'm realizing
I got a heart that lives for motion like a boat out on the ocean.
Whoa-oh-oh, here I go, Whoa-oh-oh, here I go,

Won't stay in one place too long Every new stop just another song
to sing and love and sing out loud and keep me movin’ to where I'm bound.
Whoa-oh-oh, here I go, Whoa-oh-oh, here I go,

Bridge
Got no regrets, got no rewind, With every twist and turn I find I’m still alive, man, ya!

Chorus
Up and down, round and round, Coming back home to touch the ground.
Forward now, sing my song, Sing it loud and sing it strong.
Sing it loud and strong.

What a fun way to start your FAWM! The chorus reminds me of a childrens'
rhyme game-happy times!!

I like the catchy “whoa” refrain ! This is an upbeat and positive composition, for sure!

Good first song, keep going (no whoa!). The lyric sentiment is solid right through. Chorus chords are piquant. Enjoyed this.
(btw add #fuc to your tags, get more ukulele addicts in)

Congrats on your first one!! Your chorus chord progression is really interesting and the lyrics have a nice contrast between complexity and simplicity.

I like the Whoa here I go line. I can tell your doing a lot more complex song structures. Good for you!

Nice one! I love the chord progression and how it bounces. Also really resonated with "I got a heart that lives for motion like a boat out on the ocean."
