It was a though start, i had huge expectation for this FAWM. I want to record a full instrumental band hip-hop album but couldn't create something that i was happy with...

So, i took this piano loop, lowered the tempo, changed the key and wrote a song around it. Definitely not my best song, but i needed to start somewhere!

Also, this is the first FAWM where i use Monitor Speakers to make my songs, so feedback on the mix are highly encouraged.

Very cool. The mix sounds great to my ears, everything's super clear and crisp (as much as you'd want in a Lo Fi track!). Love the saxy thing at 0:52 particularly!

This is really cool. Got a kinda 30s noirish thing going on. I'm a total sucker for this kind of old school lofi hiphop.

The vibe on this one is tremendous. I found myself wondering just how long I could listen to this before I chose to listen to something else: three hours, four, more? Not sure, but it sounds great. The lo-fi quality, piano loop, and audio sample from the movie all work well together. Nice start!

ooh i love when the sample movie came up. this one's moody, the piano track being melancholic and mysterious. happy fawm!

damn i love this atmosphere

damn this is cool. absolutely love the jazz/boombap combo with that mellotronish auro. sounds awesome.

This is great man and sounds excellent to my ears.
I always love your instrumentals. Cheers.

This almost put me to sleep, and I say that as a good thing haha. The vibe is nice and atmospheric, which is what you want with lofi, and most forms of instrumental hip-hop in general. Choice of sample is unique too, which is always welcome.

Love this vibe. Can think of so many scenarios this song would be perfect in.

Nice sample flipping, very moody and atmospheric,
I would maybe add some more sub and low end to the kick, and maybe side chain the other tracks 1-2 db to the kick
there some harsh brittleness in the upper mids/top end of piano melody , that can be sweetened a bit and maybe it's a a couple of db's to loud?
I would flip the side of the saxophone or center it more
and let the end ring out for a few sec's before you cut

Love the Summertime melody woven throughout the song. I love the atmosphere and layers. Would you be open to a lyric or vocal collab?

This is sounding really cool to me, and you've just got to find what works once FAWM starts - All the best made plans can go out the window!

Welcome to the world of monitor speakers, by the way. The mix is sounding really good, and your ears might thank you in the long run!

I like the atmosphere and the samples used here. And I've definitely been there, waiting for FAWM, but after all that anticipation things just don't click and you end up banging your head against the wall. But now that you've pushed through that first frustration, things will surely start to flow!

Literally have a 'song graveyard' where 80% of my stuff tends to end up, so I completely get where you're coming from. I find some of our best stuff tends to be the things we don't expect, and this? The haunting piano over this boom bap type of beat is very cool. Love it; this is a complete banger; so much so that if you ever wanna' collab, or need vocals for it please let me know ahaha! (◕‿◕✿)

The keys and the beat make for a great combo - I was getting a sultry and dangerous spy thriller vibe

I enjoyed listening to this, particularly the light brassy lead solo around the middle of the track.

Amazing as always, you never disappoint! That beat drop is so satisfying, feels like the climax of a movie about a gritty gang war, where the protagonist has finally triumphed and is walking away victorious from the slain antagonist. The audio sample you have in there makes me think of a scattered news report playing in the background, reporting on the battle won by the protagonist. Really epic stuff here!

Ooh I dig this...I love what you've done with the piano loop and the grove you've built around it. I think it's a totally respectable first track for FAWM! Well done. I really enjoyed my listen.

Lovely 90s trip-hop vibe with the detuned piano, low-fi sound and slow beat

I'd say it's a pretty awesome track even if you don't feel it yourself. love the degraded piano and the horns are a nice addition to it that make the track feel complete and the drums and bass create a solid backbone that ties it al together. Great stuff!
