Drum hit sampled from Soft Play's 'All Things'. No guitars on this track (or any of them so far).

'Signs of Life' Day 4
[...]
The more observant may be wondering 'That's not a sign, it's a close-up of Johnny's eye'! Correct! Today's picture was meant to be another Bristol one, but the file got corrupted somehow, and it is wiped from evidential history. Thus the inspiration for this lyric. Slightly inspired by Marek Larwood's 'Geocaching' song which I heard on youtube and then wrote this in a flurry of inspiration, in ten minutes last night when I should have been in bed.

Lyrics

This song no longer exists
I wrote it when I was pissed
Recorded it straight away
Thought that it sounded okay

Woke up in the morning
Felt somewhat appalling
Went and listened to it
Realized it was sh*t

So I deleted it
Wiped it immediately
Oh, my drunken masterpiece
This song no longer exists

Was my hangover that bad or
Or was it the song that got away?
Probably a bit of both;
Doubt haunts me to this day

This song no longer exists x4

"non tu n'as pas de nom" (no you've got no name) is a classic chanson from Anne Sylvestre. It adresses abortion and tells how it can be the most sensitive and human decision. But does not elude how heavy to make this decision can be.
I love this mourning for something that never was I find in those two tunes.

And I love the hangover lore and the sens of absurd I find only in your song.

What's that cronchy sound if not a guitar? Genuinely curious.

Kinda Trippy! Which I like a lot. I might have dreams about this. Great stuff! I think we've all been there. It's like waking up and trying to remember what you ordered on Amazon...

evidence belies the premise... i dig the intro clipped up stuff. and how the instruments get added in near the end. cool.

Ah man I can relate, but I never delete- to a fault! I think I save lots of crap for fear that it's actually gold and I just don't see it or understand it yet! Probably mostly crap but it's there taking up space just in case! Love that you wrote such a good song in a flurry- it just had to get written!

Tee hee! Yes...I have been there too. Drinking -> dubious songs.

Have you been visiting my brain? Yes, nicely done.

Man, you nailed my thoughts from a brief moment this past weekend. And I love the last stanza! That's some dirty instrumentation in there. And the drum hit is great, I see why you sampled it.
