Where is Magic?

Skirmish: “MAGIC” (@corinnecurcio)

Liner Notes

This prompt was impossible for me to miss as I love creating music about magic. Yet, I couldn't compose it on time because I didn't feel well today. Saw my question was: "Where is Magic?" I needed magic to get me to the piano. Anyway, it is here now. Thank you for listening and for sharing your thoughts. My music is open to collaborations. Please let me know if you are interested and it will be great to discuss the direction the song or an instrumental if you hear other instruments, could take.

Ah, Nadia, this was extraordinary. I really enjoyed this. I'm better at commenting on lyrics and moods--a dynamically narrative piece. It took me many places.

An extraordinary and remarkable composition that is mystical, exceptional and yes, magical!

Great vibe and mood. Surely takes me to another place.

I don't really have the vocabulary to comment in detail on how marvelous this is, but I'll try. The intermittent tension between the dissonances and unexpected bits with the underlying harmonies does something really, well, "magical." I felt like you were leading me through an enchanted forest where every plant and creature seemed familiar at first, but then reveals something unexpected and wonderful. Thank you for sharing it!

I love your music - It's very inspiring - and this piece certainly has a magical quality to it - it kind of takes me into a world of stage illusionists with a dreamy and almost sinister quality. Magic!

This is lovely in its expressiveness and interplay of moving parts. The forward movement is takes me on a magical journey! I am glad you felt well enough to get to the piano and hope you feel back to yourself soon!

OK, this is my favorite so far from this year. It has a film noir vibe to it. Magical, yes, but also melancholic, dark and brooding. Excellent playing here, especially given how you feel.

Oh my that opening chord walk, and the way it seamlessly transitions to into that alluring chord progression is perfection. This piece could carry me away, frankly I want it to. Absolutely lovely!

Debussy is who your music reminds me of!
