An introvert party song that might be somewhat autobiographical. You will never catch me dancing at a party. I'm more likely to be in the kitchen, lurking by the plate of sausage rolls. I think this song needs some kind of ironic comedy dance routine going on in the background.

It's the first time I've bothered with any kind of production this FAWM, which was fun to do, although at its core it's still #ukulele based #nerdfolk with the 8 string baritone uke, a tenor uke, plus some midi keyboard and experiments in finger drumming, all straight to the Zoom R4 then some minor polish in Logic. #fuc

We would get along perfectly at a party. I don’t dance and I am usually found with the pets or hiding in the kitchen trying to look busy with something important like refilling a cheese tray - takes hours if you keep taking the cheese off. So I really relate.

Best line (imho) "talking to the pets and the plants." That would be me at every party (of 10 people or more) I've ever gone to. I can relate! Happy and funny song, and I'm loving it!

Literally laughed out loud at the pets and plants line. Too real, dammit. 😁 Easy to bounce along to in my chair, if not actually dance, because I don't dance. Really. No dancing. 🙃

Enjoyed the little additions of percussion and chimes and such. It gave this extra charm.

There's way too much in there that matches my memories. In my party days, I was much more likely to remember the names of pets than the names of other attendees. The rhythm and extra instruments make everything bright and upbeat where, otherwise, the song might have come off as a complaint.

What a delightful song. You did a nice job with the production, and the lyrics are so relatable (though I do love to dance…it’s talking to lots of people that I’d be singing about!). 🤪 The chorus is so catchy, and the whole thing has a great vibe.
