Where Wren unexpectedly taps into her Red Dirt influences.
I started working on these lyrics when fawm started and honestly... I did NOT expect it turn out like this but I kinda like it. Actually I like it a lot. It's cute... really cute. It's a love song and quite appropriate for the site turning pink.

And while this might be a bit autobiographical it is very, VERY much out of character for me to... (how am I wanting to say this?) sell myself in such a confident way. So not exactly me as the narrator but kinda, sorta, maybe, not really?

Production wise... I'm quite happy with the way it turned out despite the random crackles that showed up and I have no idea why that keeps happening. I've only listened through headphones though so it might sound terrible through studio monitors or in the car.

This is so pretty. Self-love is the best thing you can get for Valentine's anyway. The whisper, and little giggle on the last chorus, are so charming. Nice!

Ahhh… what a girl! I love how the lyrics capture the multidimensional aspects of this person and wrap it around a beautiful love song. That chorus is fabulous! Wonderful melody and flow!

Aw, this was so sweet and cute. Perfect lil tune for Valentine's Day. And I love the dialogue and whispers in between the actual singing, they were such cool nuances that make your style unique 🧡

This is wonderful - full stop. Great job bringing all that confidence and wrapping lyrics around it. The demo sounds perfect. Some crackles, sure - but it gives it an intimate, warm, lo-fi character that works *perfectly*. That, and the little whispered lines, makes it sound and feel like a love letter come to life.

I love the cadence of the vocal delivery during verses.

AWWWW, I love this. That whisper right before the first chorus is perfect.
The blend of gorgeous sung vocals and little conversational moments, and vocalizations, so good! THE LAUGH, oh my gosh I love this.
Also, "sweet as a Siren, mean as a badger" is an awesome line.

Ooo, I love that vocal jump on the chorus. Entire song sounds great on my big speakers. The whispered secret, the smile in your voice... so cute. 💗 Could be a love song celebrating the things you love about yourself (even if you're too humble to 'fess up to it 😉). Whoever she is, she sounds like a keeper!

I just made a card for a friend with a drawing of a heart with clock hands that said Happy Valentimes! So I smiled to see we have the same corny sense of humor 🕰💘
