Lyrics

You might think my songs are too fast or a little too loud
But the quiet music's not what I'm about
I gotta keep the beat a goin day in & day out

If I repeat your every claim, you'd never budge
If I beat you at your game, would you hold a grudge?
Well if you're cool with me you must be sweet as fudge

If I'm awake all day I can't be awake at night
If I'm awake at night I still gotta be up when it's bright
So don't take my peace of mind & we'll be alright

If I could travel back in time you know I would
If I could visit the future, I'd wonder if I should
But I'm here & now so I better make it good

You nail the vocal style, only thing missing is the massive tape echo. Very cool bluesy song. Maybe I would call this twisted blues, twisted in the absolute right kind of way!

now this is the way to deconstruct chuck berry. such an unusual guitar sound. never thought id hear a guitar sounding like this in a rockabilly song. and the bass and drums are like some futuristic re-imagining of a garage band trespassing on an out-of business disco. very fun listen.

Can't go wrong with a gritty 12-bar blues!! I love your attitude! This thing rocks!

Great rocking tune. Love the low fuzz bass and the guitars sound really good.

Great advice, make it a good one while we’re here. production was fabulous, loved the left right speaker effects, nice tune, still boppin my toes.

This rules. I'm a big fan of the lofi production, especially those real drums. My favorite moment is the solo section with the Casio sounds and guitar split left and right.

ooh, this has a nice groove to it. swung old-style rock like this is pure dopamine to me… I love the words too. good stuff!

Nothing beats humble rock and roll, especially when it features dueling guitar solos! Nice soundstage on this recording, too.

Love the guitar work - love the old school rock and roll vibe.

I love this. It sounds like something Chuck Berry would have sung, especially with that sweet solo! Super fun!
