This was definitely worth taking the extra time over. I like how the backing vocals are increasingly shouting their responses, and I really like that synth. It might be a worried and troubled theme (hard not to these days) but it doesn't stop it being a very enjoyable listen, and a very timely lyric 👌

I came here for the title - I also have a song called Wake Up, but a different take on it. Great lyrics here - like "My old ceiling has become my floor It’s time to wake up ". Love the echo vocals, the synth work, the groovy bass line and just right drums. I just read your liner notes - and what a great idea - use the skirmish time to create the magic, and then take some time later to flesh it out by adding that powerful bridge, backing vocals and production. Nice synth add in your transition. Love your passionate vocal delivery - these important lyrics really ring out as they should. I think people are waking up and realizing they are in a nightmare. Great song!

Love the whispered/spoken call-and-response "Wake Up!" and the unexpectedly laid-back vibe of this urgent warning! It reminds me of the old adage, "If you want people to really listen, speak softly so they have to lean in." (Thanks for the kind words about "Long, Long Time"! Really appreciate the encouragement)

I feel like a lot of us are waking up more than ever, and some for the first time, such a relevant set of lyrics for our time. I like how the “wake up” gets stronger and stronger and more urgent as the song proceeds

This is an effective political song which--ignoring immediate relvance--can be applied to whichever side of politics or theology or geopolitics one barracks for. I'm intrigued at how well you get the production in a skirmish time.
