this song started forming in my head on friday on my way to work, & i forgot all about it until late this evening. i accidentally had the volume knob for my microphone turned to max when i was recording vocals, but it was getting late & i didn't wanna do another take, so i just treated it like a built-in saturation & mixed around it, oops! 😅 also kept the first take for the keys too, since it's not too unpolished & this song is a little goofy anyhow!

I think the intro was a bit oo long, start the singing already! 😀

Definitely flesh this out, I'd say! Add some more vocal doubling and harmonies, some synth stabs with heavy vibrato and maybe some vocoder FX.

This is almost challenging in its cheerfulness. Two bars in, I was starting to think the world was a nice place. When the lyrics kicked it, I was gratified to see my reality was at least being acknowledged.

The music and lyrics do seem to be from different worlds - the music suggesting a 1990s cartoon cyberpunk hero - possibly some sort of animal mascot - and the lyrics being grounded in my very boring real life problems in 2025. But they come together in a way as seamless as it is fun. I feel a lot of things at the end of it. Mostly positive. Inspired; well, inspired enough to listen again. You deliver the line 'I can't help the world is on fire' in a way that suggests neither fear nor surrender.

There are a lot of comments speaking to the sheer funkaliciousness of the track. These comments are correct.

ahhh this is so fun! -- "I can't help the world is on fire" -- such a deep line but surrounded by lead synth and lots of other sounds that cheer me up a lot. Nicely done!

That sexy lead synth is so nice, and I love how you use it to double the vocal line in the chorus.

Funktastic, man. It's the sick control with the vibrato in that damn synth. Love it. Lots of pitch wheel and aftertouch? Sick either way.
