@frontrowotago from the Wilds of Wallaroo sent me this in the current bundle of lyrics. I thought I might try for an old-time 60/40 band sound, and though not willing to risk a fiddle (actually viola, please don't cue viola jokes) I tried a banjolele, ukulele piano (and bass) in the backing, complete with the lagerphone my children and I constructed lo, these many decades ago.

Basically, it's a bit of fun for maudlin drinking parties. And, I suspect I'm plagiarising a song from Ukulele Criminal...

This song is like going back in time. It’s got a lovely feel to it. I love the line “most of the time it’s only time”… also is that the spoons being played for rhythm? Very cool.

Most of the time it's only time. I think that all the time I am wasting time scrolling through mindless twaddle in my newsfeed hoping to see something interesting. This song on the other hand is not a waste of time, it is a timely reminder that we should spend our time more wisely, writing and playing and singing 😊. Cool Collab and time well spent listening. 😎
