My family got our first-ever dog in January, after months ("no, years!", they'd insist) of begging from my kids. I was the hardest one to convince to get the dog... and go figure, now he has chosen me as his person. He's a cute little fluffy white dog who follows me all around the house and jumps onto my lap to cuddle as soon as I sit down anywhere. Thought it'd be fun to write him a little tribute.

When I first read the title and that it was about your new dog, I assumed it was the dog who would be instructed to sit down. So clever to turn it on end and make it all about the importance of taking a break once in a while and concentrating on what’s really important. Simple yet perfect chord progression and voicings, fitting the happy, charming lyrics to a tee. Another one of my favorites from you, Hannah. I’m racking up quite a list!☺️♥️

Let's hear it for #pupcore ! Love those close intervals in the piano voicings. The simple changes have a child-like quality that fits the voice of a dog to a T-bone. Delightful. Mr Collie came and put his head on my knee while I was listening, and it was a perfect moment.

Haha! A lovely love song from your doggie. This reminds me of something that Regina Spektor would write, and you sound a bit like her in piano style and some of the higher bouncy vocals. Really enjoyed this track. ☺️

I want more PUPCORE!!! We are missing our dog so much :( she is 13 years old and wouldn’t have been fair to drag her half way around the world. She’s retired with my in laws in Scotland and being spoilt rotten. This was a tonic today - gorgeous song, from the dogs perspective - clever lyrics.

YouTube just posted a TED talk about our love for dogs--haven't watched it yet, though. My family never had a dog. When I turned 30 and got married my wife insisted on getting a dog, so I said okay. LOVED that dog! Single again, I don't have one because...travel, etc. They're pretty "walk" intensive and all.

#pupcore is a brilliant tag! Love how you’re singing this from the perspective of the dog, and the stripped back production works so well. There’s great warmth and lightness of touch in your phrasing - the juxtaposition of the staccato ‘fluffy’ and extended ‘hoooound’ is really clever. Lovely little tune!
