Liner Notes

Didn't think I was going to write this morning, but I saw this #skirmish and it felt connected to the tarot card I drew this morning and the line from the guidebook that read: "There are resources just at your touch that want to teach you how to develop systems that allow you to ground, to grow, to reach out." The two things together made me think of #grounding exercises that involve all five #senses, and then this song came out.

Lyrics

What can you reach out and touch
To help you stay grounded
What can you reach out and touch
To remind you to grow
What can you reach out and touch
To stay in this moment
What can you reach out and touch
To remind you of what you know

What can you look 'round and see...

What can you breathe in and smell...

What can you listen and hear...

What can you bite down and taste...

Oh god, thanks for the reminder, I needed this. Beautiful and yearning, appropriately. Anxiety is a connection problem, after all. Bravx

I love the meditative, grounding quality of this song—it really pulls the listener into the present moment. The repetition and 6/8 feel give it a soothing, almost hypnotic effect. This would be a great piece for reflection or even a mindfulness exercise!

Musical medication. Very soothing. I love the fragility in your vocals as well.

Your lovely vocal melody and the ukelele create an almost hypnotic effect which goes very well with the mantra of the lyrics. Excellent. I loved it. :-)

Thanks for the reminder to seek out electrical grounding — easy for me to forget in the winter, yet always available. The list of questions serves to show how many resources are available every day. Nice message, smooth music and delivery.
