Liner Notes
#dance #JazzButNotReally #steampunk #CheatersDozen
I started the first minute of this last year, and decided to keep going tonight. It sounds jazzy to me, but my wife (who helped me name this track) called it steampunk, so who knows?
I wanted that piano part to sound like a warped sample from an old jazz record or something, and then I decided maybe the whole thing is from a record that got warped, and the parts aren't playing nicely together how they're supposed to.

I came in for the Dance/Jazz/Steampunk genre, which is one of my favorites and you didn't disappoint! So many cool elements here and it is all at once brittle, harsh, warm, thick and lovely. I love how fluidly it changes from one thing to the next and everything is a party in my headphones. What a trip - loved this!!

No idea which genre you're today, but it reminds me of the Matrix soundtrack. After that dark percussion I didn't expect the playful organ (?) detuned piano (?). No idea what you did here but it works.

Bopping my head to weird ass sounds. I like it. Says Tom Waits to me, or aspects of something that would be on a non-existent Soul Coughing album. Very cool sound design.

Cool Tones and Sounds Slithering About.
There is some Warpiness and some Dirty Crunchiness in this here Underground.

"Steampunk" is a pretty broad category, there's no defined sound. So it can be both! If you want it to be.
I love the concept you described in the liner notes. Also love the song, and that's rare for instrumentals with me. So anyway you know it appeals to at least one steampunk person!

I don’t know if it’s steampunk, but it sure sounds there’s some industrial influence. Nasty , dirty and funky, which is to say delightful.

I love this - great wall of sound with a great variety of textures - fuzz and wobble are a great combo - so funky and dirty
