Atmospheric piece. I like the simple minimalism of the imagery. Then the title line gives the whole song a screaming left turn as we realise the person has passed and will not appreciate this idyllic morning. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

A gauntlet of gerunds! A part of speech, that, frankly, doesn't see enough of the limelight. Better than the adjectival overload that curses so much amateur songwriting, at any rate. And it's very effective in helping us explore space in this moment frozen in time.

A tender, affectionate lyric, which sits in perfect harmony with the gently waving piano - a tune that pans slowly across fields of dreams and the dreamlike reality of dawn.
