I usually play unstructured and mostly do improvisations except when I’m using a sequencer so it was difficult for me to play along as well as I would have liked. I took @bradbrubaker ’s morph and slowed it to 0.66 of his original speed. Dirtied it up a lot like it was a very old record being played on an even older record player. I then added slightly out of tune horns and strings.

I said, “I know what beignets are! I’m not some square!”

I asked her gently, “When did you start smoking crack?”
She screamed, “I don’t get what seems untrue!
French Polynesians like doughnuts, too!”

I asked, “What flavors do they have at the beignet tiki shack?”
She said, “I’m mad at you. I’m not gonna answer that.”
I said, “I’m sorry I was making fun,
But maybe if we went there we could order some.”

She said, “Okay, I’ll tell you all about the beignet tiki shack.”
I told her, “Excellent! I could go for a snack!”
“They have coconut but the biggest draw,”
She said, “A doughnut that is filled completely with foie gras!”

I said, “I think I changed my mind about the beignet tiki shack.
You had me with coconut but it sounds kinda whack!”
She said, “You are a racist jerk!”
I said, “You like some tiki shack so tell me how that work?”

She said, “The tiki statues serve you at the beignet tiki shack.”
I said, “Who in the hell even imagines that?”
She said, “I never knew this side of you…”
I said, “I bet it’s owned by old, white, wealthy dudes.”

She said, “I’m never gonna take you to the beignet tiki shack.”
It’s my new favorite but you just keep talking smack.”
I said, “I’m sorry I was being rude.”
She said, “I’ve had enough! I’m breaking up with you!”

Now I wonder if she’s sitting at the beignet tiki shack.
I know I sound desperate to win her back.
Something ‘bout our talk wasn’t fair.
I tried to google “beignet tiki shack” but got nowhere.

So I’m never gonna make it to the beignet tiki shack.
I asked her for the address but she’ll never text me back.
If I wanna go I’m kind of screwed.
But I wanna try French Polynesian food.
