guatecoop: @danieldeshon messaged me about singing on this one and I had never met him! So, I'm always up for someone being inspired to sing on some music that I wrote, so here it is! @judypie did an amazing version, too, and I am fascinated to hear how two completely different people do their thing on the same song. I love the aggressive and punk rock sound! The crazy guitar and keys are so wild and gives it that unhinged edge. Love it! Thanks Daniel!

@danieldeshon says: I heard @guatecoop 's song A Flip of the Coin and absolutely loved it! It had me jumping around my living room> That's some fantastic rock and roll right there. So glad @guatecoop gave me the green light to collar on it. I added some vocals, synths and an obnoxious lead guitar... so much fun!

Lyrics

Alright lets go!
It's dark, it's bright, doesn't matter if it's day or night
Do you, believe, in destiny
Or will I start a fight
I don't know what's in store but can I have a say
And I could use
Someone to prove it'll be ok
It's a flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
Is it down to fate
Or is there something more
Wouldn't it be great
To know what was on the other side of the door
Should I talk to you
Is there any chance that I might score
Or will you leave me hangin'
Leave me wanting more
It's a flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
Oh Yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Oh yeah
It's a flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
Yeah
Maybe I should take that chance
Maybe I should ask you to the dance
I don't know
I don't know
No
Will you go
How do I know
I don't know know know know know know know know
I don't know
I don't know
Will you go
Dance with me
C'mon set me free
I wanna let it be
I wanna set you free
Yeah
Alright lets go
It's a flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
A flip of the coin
Alright lets stop

It was great to listen to the original and then this with vocal et al. Vocal and lyric suits the song well and is sung nicely. Especially like the repeated, ' flip of the coin' line.

Rocking out to this on a Saturday morning! I can imagine a room full of dancing fans for this one!

That driving snare, man. It's like a head banging with the rock (against the rock?) It propels this so effectively. What a great title and lyric. And ultimately, a great collaboration. I'm really digging the obnoxious lead guitar.

Haven't listened to the other versions, yet--but I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE!! Terrific collaboration, you guys! ❤️

This sounds awesome. Just straight rock. A little unhinged but not so much that it strays too far from what it is. \m/ \m/

the vocals are a perfect fit for this edgy rock confection. i like those long wailing lines that come across without a melodic crutch, that thing that sounds like an organ that sounds off briefly sometime after the midway point is an unexpected treat.

Daniel has done a really good matching up with a really good vocal! Real crunching rock! Well done.

I love the energy here. Unhinged is right. I'm gonna go listen to a few of the other versions.
