Really, a skirmish title like that is absolute catnip for someone like me.
I'd pretty much nailed the tune for this a while ago, but had no idea what I was going to write about. And then I saw the skirmish light was on, and the words just flowed... like blood, one might say... ;)
I've been playing a lot of Total War: Warhammer 3 recently, so IYKYK...

Fantastic! If modern metal sounded like this I would listen to more new heaviness instead of relying on 80s classics and Ministry.

Oof, that's tasty! Riding into battle that is pure brutal chaos. It may be the subject matter that skews my perception, but I could swear I heard some echoes of Bolt Thrower in there.

yeah i saw this title and thought that was right up your alley so i had to come over here and listen to it. if anything i would suggest emphasizing the behold!s more, like double track the vocals? anyway i love it, good variation in the guitar parts, excellent growly vocals, and the metal thang with the drums!

These lyrics are wild and the energy is off the charts. The guitar playing is fantastic and I doubt if it's possible to get a heavier sound. Catnip to the lion god.

You nailed it: "The golden idol / Held on high" while clergy kneel. "Blood for the blood god! / Skulls for the skull throne!" is unlikely to be dethroned anytime so for most brutal lines in a song.

Ah yes. It's not February until I've heard the glorious roars of Sapient. Wonderfully done, sir! That verse riff in particular is delicious. That hook is super catchy too. Love that build up at the end.

Hey old friend :D! Was definitely was getting some Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 vibes in the beginning and then again in some sections. Your signature growl is a familiar and welcome sound. Love the imagery and the solo section was really pumping. Made me want to spin my head around until my neck broke! <3

Wow, this is brilliant, great take on the prompt and excellent delivery! Definitely a keeper.

The vocals - processing and performance - are what jumped out for me initially - they are really clear and nicely balanced. The occasional vocal double tracking for emphasis is really virtuoso, and adds lovely dimension.

The solo that starts around 2:40 is wild and really punchy, love it.

Ha ha, I just heard a "skulls for the skull throne!" I know what this is about!

I love how forward the drums are in the mix - I guess it may just be a genre thing: it's counter intuitive (i.e. the commonplace that metal about the guitars), but really effective - the guitars are almost just along for the ride on the drum train.

Great song, and great that you brought it in on 3:30 - now that's radio-friendly!
