At the end of 2024, Lady Sapient and I had the extreme good fortune to snag a VIP package for the last night of Anthrax's European tour. We had a smashing time meeting the band (they are lovely boys!), and the icing on the cake was getting to go home with a stage-played Jackson King V "Baldini", signed by Scott Ian 😀

So, of course, this FAWM, I wanted to try and write an Anthrax-like song.
I'm gonna say it worked - the lyrics, political they might be, are a bit silly, but I reckon the riffs are pretty sick.
All the rhythm guitars here are the King V, and the lead is my ESP KH-2.

Remember to bang that head, kids 🤘😈🤘

Ahhahha, I love that "We take the promise bLÄRGH" part! Pretty sikk riffing here, my man. That breakdown makes me want to dropkick some betrayers and false emperors in the pit!

Lead lines in inharmonic intervals, can it get any more Metal than that?! \m/ And I don't think the lyrics are silly, they seem to describe the challenge a lot of western countries are facing perfectly.

That was great! I had my sound up and boom, wasn't expecting it to be so loud at first. I saw Anthrax once during the I Am The Man tour, they were supporting KISS but I was only there to see Anthrax and left. That guitar is cool!

this is anthrax, all right. the lyrics may be silly, but your delivery makes them less so. i love your mathematical phrasing. and yes, those guitars are sick!

Ok I got braver as it went on and made it up to 71. Yes the riffs are pretty sick! I only just logged off work so my head is resting on my hand so I didn't manage a head bang but it is sort of waving left and right on its arm/hand pedestal. You're a master of the axes dude!
