FAWM song number 3! My family has been out sick with flu A this week :(
This skeleton song started out a few weeks ago with just me & a piano. I'm slowly adding other elements into this rough-draft mix. Special thanks to my friend Jeff Panzer for the percussion & song ideas. Also to @rowleyjohnuk for the beautiful string arrangement! We discussed FAWM via Google Meet this week with lots of ways I can "fix-the-mix" on this song!
I'm really trying to push myself to learn more arranging, producing, mixing, etc.

Ah, good--I'm caught up with you. I realize you work for a living (I don't--I PAID my dues!!), so you tend to do your songs on weekends...whereas I take the weekends off! 😉

This sounds very "cinematic" and "should be in a soundtrack" to me--REALLY professional sounding. Maybe your most impressive--to me--so far. Looking forward to "not being caught up" with you again! 😉❤️

I like the lyrics. They have a good flow and message
But the mix and arrangement needs some polishing. There's a lot going on here....

If it wasn't such a cliché, I'd say " You go, girl", but what I get from this song, apart from your splendid vocals and arrangement, is a sense of determination and optimism and we all need a dose of that these days!

love this song, your singing, and the piano and percussion. my unsolicited suggestion on how to fix the mix is to get rid of everything else. to my ears, it is just clutter that distracts from your singing and playing. but if you want a bigger arrangement, it might work here id you just pulled everything except your voice piano and percussion way back. your voice should dominate the mix, not be swallowed up in it.
