This is always my favorite and we are getting it done much earlier than in the last few years! Maybe this means more of them?!? Anyway, the music started when I got out my Farfisa pianorgan (keyboard accordion) for a previous song. I liked what I was doing and decided to record that part. I came back to it later and it was a bit of a puzzle to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I had all sorts of ideas and ended up with this.
This is a part of the #oracle-challenge that @writeandwrong always so graciously organizes. It's really one of the parts of FAWM that I truly look forward to. I always do the music and my wife writes the lyrics and sings. Last night, I was about to go to bed and my wife came up to the studio. Well, no bed until much later but it was 100% worth it. I'm very grateful to be able to do this with my wife, as not many people can or do with their significant other. Enjoy!

Spooky synths and layering to open this up, nice panning phasey thing going, haunting layered vocals set a mood. Safe space for now with ominous undertones building up is the vibe I'm getting. Lyrically, this is a vibe. Tarot challenge with Hypnos, triple moon, house of night, that's the imagery I'm getting. Loads of neat vignettes and imagery; like snatches of an adventure viewed through the keyhole of a door. I like the line about nicking the hand while nicking the key as well. At the end, I'm left with, this is a vibe. Nice one!

I love everything about this, starting with the wonderful stereo imaging of the pad sound at the start. I Love the alternating minor/major third vocal melody, the soothing voice, the dreamy mysterious lyrics, and I love the gorgeous drum sound.

What a mesmerizing song. I love the atmosphere the pianorgan gives with the effect on it and everything else just adds to the magic. To of that list is the amazing lyric and vocal. Everything is so good and just had me swaying here with my eyes closed. Loved it!

ooo guys, i so so look forward to you two getting it on musically, and oooo this is so far beyond what i was expecting. The smooth harmonies really sync in so deep with my soul, over the gorgeous floaty movements of the song. Truly sat back with my mega flu and floated away to this one. woohooo

Oooo this is so cool, the vibe, the sounds, the lyrics....the vocals!!! Mrs Guatecoop sounds awesome!! I love it. The whole oooo it's a triple moon, with the harmonies and the- is that the minilogue? that synth line is so sweet. This sounds like some lost 70's prog-jazz epic that was too far ahead of its time and was forgotten and has now been discovered by some crate diggers.

Mrs. Guatecoop has chosen! Oh what a very cool soundscape! The intro is really such a vibe - and those oohs and aahs are so good. Great synth worth and I like the bass line which is very nicely placed also in the mix. There is a lovely darkness to this song that I am really enjoying. Part of it is the harmonies and the use of repetition I think, as well as the melodic choices and the cool track. It is also very compelling and really draws the listener in. Wonderful vocals and backing vocals. Excellent production also. What a gift to be able to do this together - wow!

Haunting vocals on the intro, and I like how the synth echoes those vocal leans through the song.

Such a compelling sound -- that intro is utterly mesmerizing! When the actual vocal part kicked in, it snapped me to attention (in the best way!) Love the harmonies on the choruses. Fantastic work, both of you! (Now to see if I can get Mrs. Songsmith to sing on one of my tunes!)
