Sapient:
In which we attempt to write the missing bonus track from Dimmu Borgir's "Spiritual Black Dimensions".
When Bamsekarhu said "I would love to do some vocals or cheap 80s synths for something" I didn't expect that to turn into 18 tracks of vocals, choir and orchestra.
But it was EXACTLY what the song needed. It IS a Dimmu Borgir song!

Yesss this was clearly a collab destined to be! I vowed to only use my meagre DSR-500 synth this year, but Sapient's song had such a grand Dimmu vibe that I had to supersize the McBorgirness by using Eastwest's Hollywood and Fantasy libraries! I couldn't quite pull off Vortex, so perhaps Garm made a feat on this lost bonus track?

Makes my skin crawl like it did when I saw the movie The Horror of Dracula as an eight year-old and Christopher Lee looked out at me from the screen with blood in his eyes. I went back for more.

Holy fuckface batman!! Is it the best thing my ears have ever heard? Possibly. Do I actually even have any ears left now? Fuck no.
My dudes, it was worth losing appendages for. If this ain’t the best produced piece of music on FAWM this entire year then I don’t like cats.

Ok, I don't remember if I've ever had this much expectations when pressing play on a FAWM track... And now, I have to gather what's left of me from the floor. You guys. You absolutely nailed it. So much epic goodness. You both rule SO FRIGGIN' MUCH! The production is obviously top notch, but what is really crushing me is the sheer vocal brutality/talent here. If Mr. Sapient ever happens to find himself on Finnish soil, I reckon we need to take him out for a pint or two, eh, Bamse?

Oh yeah, I have been waiting for this collab! You nailed the Dimmu Borgir thing - it's been a while since I've listened, but I'll have to spin "Spiritual Black Dimensions" tonight.

I love the vocal range on exhibit here, with so many voices working together. The guitars are perfect for this piece and the orchestra, choirs, bells, etc add that touch of "epicness"

Oh man this is friggin epic! The lyrics are epic, the vocals are awesome, the wall of sound is epic. Sorry I wish I had more productive things to say but this is so good this will be listened to more than once that's for sure! Great collab!

Ha, thankfully I remembered to turn down my headphones a bit JUST in time.

This is INCREDIBLE. There's a gravitational pull to the whole thing, this feeling of inevitability. Epic collab work!
