Liner Notes

Factorio is a game about building stuff.
And then using that stuff to build different stuff.
And then combining all those things to make yet more new stuff.
And then running out of some vital basic resource and realising just how badly optimised your material flows are and... WHERE DID THOSE DAMN BUGS COME FROM???
I love it.
This one is for you, @dasbinky!

Of note: the name of the midi loop used for the drums in the last verse is one from Ugritone called "panic blast", which pretty much sums up Factorio for me... 🤪

What a great riff to open up with. I think that the raw power is so wonderful. Music like this that you write just captures a feeling that most music never even comes close to. I just love it.

Definitely getting a Doom vibe from this one too. Only you are the the one I'm trying to escape from/shoot! Powerful stuff.

GRAAWWWRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
I really want to try this game now...even though I'm totally stressed because RAWWRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

So how did your pitch to write the the music for Rio Tinto Group’s new corporate video go down? 😉

awesome grindcore, those guitars sound massive, and your voice is brutal.

it looks like ugritone were saved from the brink of death?!

Are you sure you weren't playing Doom?

That first blast from the rhythm guitar brought a big smile to my face... and it just stayed (along with some gentle fifty-something appropriate head banging). If Factorio lacks a theme song... well, it doesn't anymore, does it? Fantastic.

Yeah, this is great. I love the dynamics, particularly in the first minute. The rise and ... explosion?... of the music captures the journey you allude to in your liner notes perfectly.

I did detect some elements in the style that rang faimilar. I think this factory might have an infestation of self-perpetual rebirth spiders...

Well, that's me earwormed for the rest of the month. Man, those guitars have got some bite! Much as I love Josh's "Let's Game It Out!" videos, he could never come close to delivering such a cogent and scathing critique of a game as you do here. Bravo!

Sing Christmas Bells that tolled for the workers

Goddamn, great grind vocals here! Barney, is that you? Surprisingly melodic start, but it actually fits nicely, as the mayhem feels all the more merciless after the beginning. I need more of this.

I haven't played Factorio, but I lost my best friend to it. Still wondering if that game is rather chilling or exciting. But judging by your song it feels like chaos and destruction. The lyrics could also be about industrial revolution xD

I haven't played Factorio but something about this evokes the idea of stressed-out dwarves working, which is pretty much how I feel at work, and this is a very appropriate soundtrack for that. The riffery and blast beat are breathtaking as grindcore should be.

Rawk! \m/ Love the grind - and totally perfect for the game.

(* And as a side note, I wrote a song last month about Satisfactory - same theme but very different vibe. :) *)

Love it!

And grow and grow! Nice build into the chaos! I’m exhausted listening but glad I did!

The. Factory. Must. Grow.

Accurate summary of the experience. Love it.

Love the intro! Brings to mind Judas Priest's The Hellion, a favorite.

Delightfully growly!
