Liner Notes

ZeCoop: So this was the very first song i started composing this year. I had an idea to make an homage to David Lynch and got a title from the "Lana Del Rey Song title Generator" that seemed to fit. But my piano piece did not end up being inspiring. I thought the baritone guitar would be great, but could not come up with any melodies. I couldn't think of things to add towards my end goal, so it got dropped for the time being. But now my brother is here at the house and we were able to make wonderful progress! I love where this went. :)
GuateCoop: We had a lot of fun with this one, as it quickly went from a simple piano part to something quite different. I brought some synths for the weekend and they are just fun. This was the perfect opportunity to play the MicroFreak, which is such a crazy and fun synth. I always love the opportunity to explore all of the possibilities with these things. So, we worked together to figure out what sounds and textures that we wanted to build a vibe. We got there! Super fun to be here with my brother making music and hanging out.

Ohh, making music with your bro is so wonderful! Lucky times! It's rewarding to read the history of the song - it's funny how quickly things unlock when you're in discovery mode, and you find the right key - and especially when the key comes from your bro! Big eerie vibes with a cinema tint - lovely tremolo/vibrato movements and sun drenched hills shaped by the filter's resonant (twin) peaks. losing Lynch is a big loss for us - that honesty all gone! but we can all recite his teachings. an awesome tribute - loved it!

The guitar is straight out of Lynch and the synth feels like the edges of the film becoming more saturated as you watch it.

Dark but with a hopeful vibe, like you're painting a moment of critical decision-making. Love when the guitar and the synth work together. Great cinematic atmosphere, for sure. An excellent tribute.

@axl
Another big fan of master Lynch here. The echoey baritone guitar adds Spaghetti Western images for a complete cinematic experience. Being able to come over to your brother's house for a little weekend jam sounds so nice. My brother lives a couple thousand kilometers away.

Wow! So trippy in a David Lynch way.
Well mixed and inspired collab!

@arcane and I tagged our Lynch tribute #Lynchcore.
I'm liking the off-kilter vibe here in the synth(?).
Awesome reverb guitar.
Sad, mysterious, and somehow hopeful.
Yup, sounds like David Lynch to me.

I wish to think that it's how the last music collaboration by David Lynch and Angello Badalamenti might sound. Great work!

Excellent work. As a fan of all things, Lynch, you've captured his essence perfectly.

I loved MULHOLLAND DRIVE when it first came out an eternity ago--so much so that I watched it a second time a few years ago (probably during Covid). AND I finally got around to--again, probably during Covid--watching TWIN PEAKS, including the more recent series. Anyway...yeah, this sounds like something that could be from a TWIN PEAKS soundtrack. Great job! ❤️

Fun collaBROation, definitely in the Lynch spirit! The baritone guitar sounds great.

Oooooooh very David lynch with the results. Sound choices here are excellent. It’s great to see you guys making music like this together. The super saws also kinda give me some vibes of stranger things / John carpenter.

The two instruments compliment each other so well and then the synth flies in! It’s a very compelling piece, the piano is a star!

Yes, this definitly got a Lynch vibe! Dark and gloomy! That guitar part at the end is brilliant!
Great to read about you both!
