@kristian: Robyn sent me this cool synth thing (the opening synth riff) and I took that and made some chords, sent it over the ocean again and got back some wicked vocals as always.

@robynmackenzie: Well this was a great birthday present to wake up to! I always am in awe of what @kristian can do. The lyrics for this one came very naturally, I’d been trying to find a way to say what I’ve been thinking and feeling and this was a great channel for it.

This all works together so well. Love the synthiness of this, and great vocals and that beat drop at 3:05 is awesome.

Love the punctuated riff in the verse with all that space. The chorus step up is great - lovelily scanned lyric that falls off the tongue. Musically rich, joyfully performed and antidote to the theme! Great colab

im really particular about vocals but these slap.
the synthwork also slaps.
the chord progression has this fun nondiatonic feel that adds a sense of like... mystery?
reading the other comments, i definitely hear the 80s vibe but the song doesn't sound like it was ripped from the 80s. it's a cool sound!

This is so flippin catchy! The vocals are stupidly good, @kristian 's backing arrangement is just captivating, and all wrapped in a veneer of 80s pop - especially with that drum machine fill transitioning into the chorus. Hot dang

that is one squelchy synth! great 80s vibe. It all sounds great, i like the drift effect, such a tight track and the vocal floats beautifully over it
