A daffodils dream / Traum der Narzissen

Liner Notes

So many not so good things happening in my life and in my country and in the whole world!
I was sitting for hours today writing one dark and sad line after the other. And then suddenly the sun came out! On my table I got a bunch of daffodils which are in full blossom. To see them in the sunlight comforts me and gives me hope somehow!

There were so many thoughts in my head I couldn't decide which one I should follow and then I remember to do some haikus. This helps me a lot to focus on a few words with meaning!

Paul Pennyfeather offered me this beautiful and light guitar track! The way he plays the guitar here is so powerful and dreamy at the same time - just Pennyfeather magic!

The bare trees
stand monochrome in my country,
Of paper cuts!

But in front of me shines
my yellow daffodil dream
defiant towards me!

Your vocals make me think of how much I loved Enya and Laurie Anderson. And the muscular guitar underneath adds a kind of earthiness to your soaring ethereal voice...And yes to focusing on the specifics of the flowers and the pollen and the table and the singing and the playing...

Y’all are a perfect combination. The arrangements that come together over @mahtowin’s vocals…it resonates in a very unique way. Chemistry works. It’s like a German version of The Eurythmics. It’s a difficult time for many, but I hear that is also hope and healing, too. Very wonderful to hear this in the office today.

Ooh the guitar just floats and pushes and pulls. (Perhaps that was the idea, like a flower blowing in a breeze?)
Really beautiful and peaceful. It took me somewhere very relaxing.

The lyrics are very good. Especially the opening lines! They give just enough detail whilst allowing for the poetry of it.

I enjoyed this a lot. Well done.
