Punk was always the best genre for nihilism!
It is indeed hard to see a grain of hope among the bleak terrain. But I have lived through a few moments when it looked like doom was on its way (Cuban missile crisis, cold war posturing under Reagan, Cruise Missile silos in my back yard, Chernobyl, etc) and somehow the apocalypse was avoided. 🤞🏼
