This one has admittedly been in the works for a bit. started as a discord jam sesh in the beginning of january. it bounced around for a bit and i sat down to do some mixing/arranging tonight...this morning....whatever...here it is...i'm tired. i tried to like...do a vocoder effect in the hook by manipulating copies of craig's voice...i may hate that when i wake up, but it was fun messing with it.

First off, killer title for a song. I like the lofi intro. The wah wah guitars are cool. I love how it starts with just vocal and organ. I also like how you accentuate certain words with the delay. The falsetto over the lower octave sounds great. This is quite a journey for a song under 3 minutes.

Ultra funky in a laid back 70s groove. The wah-wah guitar and boingy bass are great touches. Nice organ as well! And the vocals are soulful and professional-sounding.

Spacefunk sums this one up so well. I don't know if it's a thing already, but if it's not you guys have to got to capture the market on that. Love the whole vibe of this.

Oooh, that whistle synth just made me flinch. I used to have a very similar phrase as a ring tone on my phone years ago.
Apart from that, this is a super interesting arrangement and mix. And a great vocal performance by Craig.
Now I'm feeling inspired to experiment with some "loosely" played guitar licks myself, instead of my usual doing 10 takes plus post edits.

Awesome production as always, and I *love* those vocals! The high synth voice is, as someone else mentioned, maybe a tiny bit loud in the mix, even on my fancy cans on my head right now. But hey... Fawm isn't about perfect. It's about doing it. And doing it, you guys did! Looking forward to more!

Awesome title dudes. Majorly hooked me in. Great collab as always from the Megamind team. The high pitched synth was a bit up in the mix through my phone (listening while cooking) but then the phone favours everything treble. This is just ear candy throughout - from the awesome vocals and effects, the funky bass, the cool high synth, the groovy rhythm guitar, the steady drums at just the right places, the catchy guitar lead and wonderful production. Best title I’ve seen this year so far haha - will be hard to beat, and no other way you could have ended the song! Great use of repetition in the song with the ‘…go again’ sections, it created a nice hook in the verses that had me grooving. Agree with the psychedelic comment - funk with a twist

oooo i adore the lo fi beat and am always captured by a brilliantly used wah wah. Love the combination of tight beat and guitar riff, with the stretched out synths sounds over the top. Your vocal is bloody awesome and my god production is so professional. Top start

Of course nobody here "needs" a vocoder, but it gives additional colours to a great singer's voice. Great jam at all. Wenn this is "spacefunk", I'd like to enter a spaceship, rocket or flying saucer to get to the concert!

Loving the moment where the chiptunes high synth bursts in (is chiptunes the right word?). Craig's main vocal is properly majestic. The vocoder bit is a cool contrast, although like Bill says I'm 50/50 on whether it's required. Either way though, this is a very fine piece of work from MM.

this reminds me of when funk went psychedelic. love the wah wah guitar as well as al the other contributions to the production. craigs voice could not be more perfect. do you think he really needs a vocoder? it would be a cool effect, but he sounds fantastic as is. in fact, everything does.
