…aaaaand there’s the key right there. Repetition. Something I sorely wish I had stayed disciplined with. Now that I have a deeper appreciation for the theory of music, I’m kicking myself for not being more dedicated to the method and routine. Well, can’t keep looking through the rear view mirror, so I press forward. Don’t be surprised if I cross the moat, knock on the drawbridge and request answers like a Jung apprentice.

Amazing. I’m guessing it’s like jamming. What intrigues me is that it feels/sounds so intentional; so structured. I recall this brother dance duo, Les Twins, who say they don’t necessarily stage their routines, they more or less “vibe” off of each other but they stay in sync with each other at every move. It’s almost otherworldly. This direction in your music has definitely left an impression on me. We’ll see where it leads. I’ll be in touch, brohim.

Aw, Paul, when it comes to music enough is never enough, you know that. ;)
I want you to know that I’ve listened to so much more of your music than the comments may reflect. I come back just to hear something special and am never disappointed. But, I don’t always have the words, or the spoons, to try to express what I always find waiting in those chords and musical moments. So, no, it’s never enough, but I see you’ll have an album out soon!! 😄

Hey Paul, Just listened to "Shazzam". It's a lot better than just my voice alone. It's sort of like being in outer space...out in the galaxy of of galaxies. ..Maybe the sounds you might hear in a spaceship traveling outward. Never having done any production work other than on my i-phone, I can't imagine how one might capture that "trip of a lifetime". I like the fact that it's just 8+ minutes long. If you have an other interpretations, I would love to hear them. If not, please post this. I think its great.

Paul, When I didn't hear back from Naomi for a couple of days, I sensed she might have wanted me to do it using my own voice, so I did my own quick improv on about 1/2 of her work which was almost 5 minutes long. She loved your versions but also wanted me to do my improv on the full length of her poem. I told her I wouldn't be able to get to it for a while. If you want I can repost "Winds of Change" with her lyrics or I can just add the lyrics to your post which is what I'd rather do, because my version is far from what I would want it to be.

Dragondreams, Yes! I would be honored if you would do a musical interpretation of "Shazzam". I have listened to some of your songs and I like what you do with your music. I have included a 7:39 minute voice file in my most recent posting. If you can't acces it there, I can send you a voice file by e-mail. I have also included a little history in the explanation box of my most recent posting of "Shazzam" which you might find helpful. I have no problem with your particular existential stance. By way of explanation, I am unapologetically Christian, but my ancestors who came out of Yorkshire were Viking and so I am as student of Snorri Sturleson and the Saga School as well as having worked among the Stoneys(Nakota Souix) of Canada who did Vision Quests. I also fought alongside Vietnames military collegues whe were Zen Buddhists. I'm eclectic and open to diverse musical interpretations

They're a $50 set so very village rough and the intonation is a little variable (i.e. NOT Labu flutes which are a market quality up, and 2 orders of magnitude shipping cost, I'd need to pay for a customs agent....). One has a mouthpiece split (bamboo) which I need to fix but as that's the C flute it's the least problematic. The deeper ones are very nice but my PVC electrical conduit is equally as good. Interesting.
